Thor – Special, Exceptional And Miracle Dog

Thor – Special, Exceptional And Miracle Dog

Yours Truly Dogs August 4, 2020

Thor, a Pitbull boy, is a Miracle Dog, special and exceptional.Read his story how he came a long way and watch his video.

He would drag his body around the streets and bark for food, his hind legs were paralyzed. He was in bad shape as well. A woman who noticed him got the impression that he was not going to make it, but she called a rescue. A Rescue team came to pick him up and they thought he was just beautiful. They called him Thor when they got to know him a bit better.

People Said This Pittie Would Never Walk — Until They Met Him

The Rescue team never found out what had happened to him but deducted that he had lived in the streets all his life. All the vets that met him initially told the team at the Rescue to put him down because even if he survived, he would never walk, according to their understanding. The people at the Rescue who got to care for him quickly came to believe that this was a very special doggy, his spirit and determination were exceptional. It was clear to them that Thor was never going to not walk.

One Day A Miracle Happened

The first 8 to 9 months at the Rescue was spent to rehabilitate his health. And then his hind legs. They gave him therapy and a wheel chair for paralyzed dogs to move with more ease and to be more mobile. He got lots of encouragement and support from his Rescue team. The rehabilitation specialists never thought he would really walk. They had him in a wheel chair and thought he did quite well now. Thor used to forge ahead like a winner on his wheel chair. And then one day a miracle happened, Thor just gets out of his kennel, walking. Not perfectly but he was walking and free at last. The Rescue team thought it was the moment to put him up for adoption.

Pitbull With A Higher Purpose

Lea went and met Thor, and she says she found he had something very special about him. She just said right then and there ‘’I am going to adopt this dog’’. Lea’s family already had two pitbulls and a cat. She had never met a dog with special needs.

Quite an overwhelming perspective to start with. Lea also wanted him to feel totally part of the family and an equal to the two other dogs. She did not leave his side in the beginning. And little by little Thor gained confidence. He would start to tell them what he wanted. He walked everywhere. And from there on he started to thrive and with the family’s support gain even more balance and mobility in his hind legs and hips.

There is something special about his soul, that Lea sees when she looks into his eyes. He has one of the sweetest dispositions according to her. Thor is very sensitive and attuned to his Mom. She just thinks he had a higher purpose when he came into this life. Special and exceptional dog matched with fantastic parents Lea and JF.

See how far this Miracle Dog has come.

is a collaborative Dog & Human team. We are Mumu, the Star and Epi Dog Mama, the Project Manager. Together we have worked it out. But it was difficult in the beginning. Mumu landed in Epi Dog Mama’s lap by unplanned circumstances and in bad shape at nearly 6 years of age. It was a seemingly impossible mission in several ways. The journey has been a long series of events, probably orchestrated by some benevolent force, certainly. Not always a straight line, and quite a few hurdles. But here we are and we think we have something to share. We couldn’t be happier to have found each other - it has transformed our lives. Yes, Mumu has Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI) probably since birth, an inability to produce sufficient pancreatic enzymes leading to poor absorption of nutrients and undesirable consequences. This is a condition which often gets undiagnosed by vets and misunderstood by people. This blog will tell you all about how we navigated EPI together and made it to a success, guided by that benevolent force, no doubt. Under Category EPI Dog you will learn more about how wonderful and strong Nature is if you let it have it’s say. And details about what we do to live a full, balanced, happy life. ThIs blog is not only about Mumu. There are so many other charming dogs all over the planet. They are remarkable, funny, beautiful, smart souls. Here are more stories about them too.
