Without a doubt, birds of prey are majestic. Their build, their flight, and ferocity are something to admire at. However, some animals do not have the same sentiment; for them, they can be fearsome and unforgiving.
This is because raptors, such as hawks, can grab small mammals with their talons. And when they take their prey into the air, the victim’s chances of survival are slim. However, some miracles do happen.
One Chihuahua pup just proved that size did not define his might. This was after he survived a hawk attack.
Tony Hawk, the pup, surely had an experience that was definitely one for the books.
The miracle puppy
Tony Hawk, a one-pound Chihuahua, fell into the hands of several construction workers in Austin, Texas. This was according to a report of KVUE. The workers heard some cries of a pup close to their site.
The construction workers looked for the cries and saw a little dog falling from the sky. The pup landed on their feet. They looked up and spotted a hawk, realizing that the puppy had been grabbed and dropped by the bird.
Thinking that the pup was hurt from the encounter with the wild bird, the workers rushed Tony Hawk to a local animal clinic. It was a miracle that the specialists did not find any broken bone.
The unbelievable happening inspired the Austin Animal Center, the rescue where the puppy was transferred, to call the Tony Hawk a miracle puppy. Other than a few puncture wounds, Tony Hawk did not have any serious issues.
Tony Hawk is safe
Tony Hawk is now safe, thanks to the hard work of the people taking care of him in the shelter. He is resting up and being prepared for adoption. A foster family has taken him in.
Austin Animal Center reminds pet owners, especially those with small dogs and outdoor cats, to keep an eye on their furry friends. Wild animals, such as owls, hawks, and coyotes, have a reputation for grabbing loose pets.
