Let’s Adopt International received a notification that a Shar-Pei puppy was spotted wandering a very busy highway. Worried that she might run into traffic and get hit by a car, the rescuers responded right away. Viktor Larkhill, the rescue organization’s founder, assembled his team and raced against time to save the dog.
After a very long drive, Viktor and his crew finally made it to Jaen, Andalucia. At the site, they saw Tina, sitting by the side of the road. One of the rescuers picked up Tina and gently placed her inside the rescue vehicle.
Viktor, together with his team, asked around and learned that someone kicked poor Tina in the mouth. She didn’t have wounds, but she was in deep pain. Even the littlest movement hurt, so she cried and whined.
At the hospital, the vets immediately performed X-rays and CT scans. The results revealed that the puppy had a broken jaw. She couldn’t eat, so the doctors had to perform emergency surgery to save her life.
With so many shattered bones in the jaw, the vets had to be extra careful. They didn’t want to cause Tina more pain. She may be big, but she’s just a baby.
Tina’s operation was a success, but she needed more time to heal and recover completely. She’s a resilient girl, and she trusted her vet team. She knew they’d do everything in their power to treat her.
Soon, Viktor found Tina’s perfect match. A loving couple living in Xeresa, Valencia, fell in love with the massive puppy. They offered Tina a loving home, and Viktor agreed there are no better individuals to take care of the pup than them.
Viktor volunteered to drive Tina to her new home. Her adoptive parents waited for her, and they couldn’t be any happier once she arrived. Tina found her match.
