They say in life, we are lucky when we find buddies who we can depend on. It is rare to find diamonds in the rough – friends for keeps – those who stay by our side during difficult days. Take, for example, Glenn and Buzz – two dogs who embody the true meaning of friendship.
Glenn and Buzz are two unlikely friends found together in a sea tunnel in Hartlepool, United Kingdom. Glenn is a Jack Russel Terrier, while his best friend Buzz, is a Staffordshire bull terrier. The rescuers discovered that Glenn was blind and that he depended on the bull terrier to get around.
The rescuers brought the two dogs in Coxhoe. According to one of the Stray Aid volunteers, Hannah Critchlow, their aim is to find one home for both dogs. Glenn and Buzz are so inseparable that they need to be adopted together. Hannah added that the two dogs would cry and bark when they were separated from the other.
Many of the other volunteers also observed how clingy Glenn is. Buzz does not seem to mind. In fact, he looks after his friend and makes sure he stays close to him. Also, Glenn seems to get dizzy or sometimes loses his focus when Buzz is away.
The story of Glenn and Buzz was shared to dog lover communities across the county – landing the organization a total of twenty inquiries for adoption. Hannah and the rest of the volunteers could not believe their luck – they really wanted a caring family to adopt Glenn and Buzz. The number of people who showed interest meant more people wanted to help the fur best friends!
Hannah said they are so happy that the two are finally out of the streets and now wait for an amazing family to take them in. The volunteers weren’t surprised by the love and attention Glenn and Buzz are getting. Their wonderful personalities, friendliness, and sweet demeanors are just about the best things about the best buddies.
