Reya is a 12-week old Labrador who got into a car accident. Her mom, Jeana, rushed her to their local vet to get Reya the help that she needed. They ran x-rays and other tests to determine the extent of the bone damage.
The x-rays showed that Reya had a few broken bones, including a ball socket. The local vet recommended amputating Reya’s leg. Jeana refused to have her dog’s leg removed. Jeana understands that this may be necessary, but she wants to exhaust all her options first.
She wants to save Reya’s leg if possible, but their local vet refused to handle that task. Thankfully, someone referred Jeana to Dr. Jeff. Dr. Jeff is a known vet with a reputation of helping animals and charging a very low price for his procedures.
Jeana wanted to try her luck and went to Dr. Jeff’s clinic. After checking Reya’s x-ray results, Dr. Jeff believes that there is a way to save her leg, and that’s precisely what he did.
Reya’s surgery was challenging because it took a while for Dr. Jeff to find all the bone fragments. He needed to find them to put them in their proper position. Once all the pieces were found, metal pins were placed to secure the bones.
Reya’s surgical site would heal in about four to six weeks, and Dr. Jeff is pleased about how the operation went. Jeana is very grateful that Reya is out of danger, and the little canine even gets to keep her leg.
Jeana is fortunate to have found Dr. Jeff, who was willing to do whatever it took to save her puppy’s leg. She will forever be thankful that Reya will have her life back because of the good doctor. He truly is an amazing vet.
