This Pitbull’s beautiful face and turquoise eyes just melts your heart. This is Shannon’s and Jiminy Cricket’s story.
A Pitbull baby was left in a box outside a shelter, at the Leon County Humane Society where he was found the next morning. The security cam filmed the truck driver’s delivery at night, he probably wanted to avoid being found out.
The Crazy Dog Lady Came
Shannon Doherty, sometimes called The Crazy Dog Lady, wanted to help. She came to the shelter the next day. She decided to do what she could to help him and picked him up after the veterinary procedures. He was in a very bad condition but still hanging on to life, barely 4 lb.
The first few days his tail was tucked between his legs, he was very scared but he was reassuringly enough eating. In the beginning he just slept, ate, did his business, slept again. 8 days later he already looked much better and more relaxed, soothed by her loving attention and care.
They noticed he was a very sweet dog
Right then Shannon noticed that he was a very sweet dog and his beautiful face became more and more pretty. The family had already fallen in love with him. After the first week he let the family snuggle him and after 2 weeks he walked around a little in the yard.
On the third week his confidence had grown and he enjoyed playing a little, he was eating better and started to act more and more like normal puppy.
His fur grew back, soft and silky. He finally started playing with the family’s 3 other rescue dogs and slept with them. Jiminy Cricket started to thrive, wagging his tail a lot and understanding commands, just after one and a half month.
The plan was to find a good forever-home for him, and Shannon said that selfishly she preferred that the adoptive family would be a relative or friend so he could play the Aunty.
Amazing Dog Was Going To Staty
In a few months he was already a big boy, with beautiful soft fur, caramel and cream. He had become an integral part of the family. They were just so proud of him and his progress. Earlier Shannon had promised to her husband that they would not adopt any more dogs.
But the whole family thought he was an amazing dog. After tree and a half months Shannon and her boys realized they could not imagine their life without Jiminy Cricket in it and decided he was going to stay with them. Maybe as their most special one and their 4th rescue dog.
